A STRONG ECONOMY
As part of Canada’s Mineral and Metals plan (CMMP), more than half of Canada’s critical minerals can be found in the NWT. These critical minerals that should position the NWT as one of the most attractive destinations for mineral exploration and resource development in Canada and across the world.

HOUSING AND AFFORDABILITY
Almost every government has indicated resolving the shortage in housing as a priority but we have yet to see real action and appropriate investment. The cost of living keeps rising in the territory and current inflation levels are unbearable. Northerners spend a huge portion of their income on rent, and other everyday needs like grocery and utility costs. Costs like the carbon tax with no real alternative solutions only add insult to injury

WELLNESS
We need urgent government action to address homelessness, healthcare and mental health crises across our territory. We need a focused, individualized approach to homelessness and provide solutions to healthcare that must be accessible, equitable, and effective.

STRONG EDUCATION
Empowerment starts with the right kind of education. Our current education system is rooted in colonial structures and barriers and the legacy of residential school. This is limiting students across the territory from meeting national standards for good quality education and a strong foundation for success. This is a massive gap that is putting our territories future in jeopardy.
